Four-day workweek for Aquarius employees

Four-day workweek for Aquarius employees.

A four-day workweek has become a reality for all employees at the Aquarius agency.

Extended weekends, less stress, more rest, better employee morale, with the same salary and productivity, guided the decision to move to a four-day work schedule.

The director of Aquarius, Brankica Janković, states that this decision is one of many implemented to provide better conditions for the employees, who are the core of the company.

“From now on, all of us working at Aquarius will have more time for family, friends, and personal commitments. We often forget about these things due to work, waiting for vacations that can’t always compensate for this. That’s why we tried to give our employees one more day a week for themselves,” said Janković.

She adds that this decision wasn’t made overnight and is the result of a relationship built on trust between management and employees.

“We were guided by the logic that every employee, based on the trust and freedom we provide, will arrange their duties so that one less workday per week will not affect their productivity, which shouldn’t necessarily be measured by sitting in the office from 8 am to 4 pm, but rather through well-done work and a satisfied client,” says Janković, expecting only benefits from this decision in the form of more motivated and rested employees, thus better organized work and services they provide.

It’s important to note that Aquarius, as an agency, still operates five days a week, as employees have split their days off so that some take Fridays off while others take Mondays off. This ensures that the company’s operations continue smoothly and that there is always someone available to the client.

Aquarius is a full-service marketing agency with 65 employees who stand to benefit from this decision. As pioneers of this kind of operation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, we hope to be the catalyst for positive changes, both in the creative industry and in other companies.
