“m:tel” Austria is a part of the “m:tel” network, which operates in the Austrian market.
The client’s wish was to create a social media campaign that would uniquely correspond with the target group, namely all the people and nationalities from the “EX-YU” area that now live in Austria.
Given that the target group consists of people who left their birth country some time ago, the goal was to evoke nostalgia for the happier times of the shared state and memories of “home,” thereby ensuring a better response to the client’s offer.
Illustrations for social media with famous ex-Yu motifs (Vardar/Triglav, miner, Yugo car, and Perica) were created, accompanied by witty copywriting.
The reactions from all ex-Yugoslavians on the networks were excellent, and the campaign’s value was also recognized by the jury of the NO Limit advertising festival, which awarded it a gold prize in the “Social Media Communication” category.
